Mining leaders of the USA

America’s National Mining Association (NMA) named a new group of senior industry leaders to its board of directors at its annual board meeting in Washington recently. These new directors, appointed to two-year terms are senior executives of NMA member companies operating in the USA. The board represents coal and mineral producers, as well as companies from the manufacturing and services sector.

"The strength and effectiveness of any trade association depends above all on the voluntary commitment of its members," said NMA Chairman John S. Brinzo, President and CEO of iron ore producer Cleveland-Cliffs. "Their valuable advice and counsel are indispensable to our continued success."

The board of directors also approved the following NMA Officers for 2005-2006:
Chairman - John S. Brinzo, President and CEO of Cleveland-Cliffs.
Vice Chairman - James F. Roberts, President and CEO of Foundation Coal.
President - Kraig R. Naasz, President and CEO of NMA.
