Caterpillar has reached an agreement with Eaton Corp to have Eaton’s heavy duty transmission remanufacturing business done by Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division. The agreement calls for Caterpillar to remanufacture Eaton^® heavy duty transmissions at its Summerville, South Carolina facility beginning in the third quarter 2009.  The agreement brings together the powerful Fuller^® Reman brand and the strong reputation of Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division.

Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division is comprised of 18 facilities located in the US, Mexico, Europe and Asia.  Caterpillar is one of the largest remanufacturers today, recycling more than 2,000 Mlb/y of material. Caterpillar uses state-of-the-art remanufacturing technology to recycle used products, such as engines and transmissions, into like-new components.
