Morocco phosphates handling contract awarded to FLSmidth

ben6.jpgFLSmidth has received an order worth approximately €90m from the Moroccan company, OCP Office Chérifien des Phosphates, to supply equipment for a phosphate terminal for the Jorf Lasfar port at the Atlantic coast, some 120 km south of the capital Casablanca. The scope of supply includes complete engineering, design, fabrication of all steel structures and mechanical parts, procurement of all standard components, erection and commissioning.The order comprises two sulphur shiploaders each with a capacity of 2,000 t / h, two fertiliser shiploaders also with a capacity of 2,000 t / h each, two sulphur screw unloaders with an hourly capacity of 2,300 t each and two sulphur grab unloaders each with a capacity of 1,500 t / h. All the equipment will be supplied complete with appertaining belt conveyors. FLSmidth will also supply miscellaneous auxiliary equipment such as electrical equipment, a fire fighting system and dust suppression equipment.
