More Industrea longwall roof support carriers to China’s coal mines

imagesca5tu42g.jpgIndustrea, currently being acquired by General Electric, has signed a contract for the supply of three 50 t longwall roof support carriers for sale to China. Industrea’s wholly owned subsidiary, Industrea Wadam  signed the A$4.8 million contract for supply of three Caterpillar 3126 powered low emission machines to Shanxi Jinshen Energy for use in its Heqiu mine in Shanxi province. Shanxi Jinshen Energy is a joint venture between Shenhua Group and Shanxi Coal Transportation Co producing approximately 10 Mt/y. The order includes associated spares and training.
The order for Industrea Mining Equipment (IME) roof support carriers is already under production at its Thornton facility in New South Wales with delivery expected in late June 2012.

Industrea’s Managing Director and CEO, Robin Levison, said this new joint venture customer “highlights the strength of our relationship with Shenhua Group. This also creates opportunities for sales and support of additional equipment in this important region where many of our existing customers are supported.

“This latest order increases the already large installed base of IME equipment in China and opportunities for our service capability from our Shijiazhuang facility,” said Mr Levison.

Industrea provides highly specialised products and services to the mining industry. Customers throughout the world use Industrea’s products and services to enhance the safety and productivity of their mining operations.
